COVARIANCE ANALYSIS

Up to Menu

This page explains the commands for covariance analysis. It can be performed when profiles from two techniques measured on the same samples are available. The matrix is formed so that the first dataset is put on the X axis, the second on the Y axis.

Commands for covariance analysis

corrmatrix

rowsel

colsel

datatype2

preprocess2

file2

range2

skiplines2

skipdata2

corrmatrix

Defines the type of matrix to be calculated.

rowsel

Defines two values of the Y variable around which two slices of the data matrix are plotted.

colsel

Defines two values of the X variable around which two slices of the data matrix are plotted.

datatype2, preprocess2, file2, range2, skiplines2, skipdata2

Commands for the second dataset. They have the same meaning of the corresponding command without the final "2". See here for their explanation.

whichanalysis 3

dataType 2

dataType2 3

norm2 2

file2 /home/rocco/prot/compmod/alpha/paper/PADv1/0.dat

file2 /home/rocco/prot/compmod/alpha/paper/PADv1/1.dat

file2 /home/rocco/prot/compmod/alpha/paper/PADv1/2.dat

4 diffraction profiles are studied against 4 FT_IR spectra on the same samples. Diffraction and FT-IR spectra are normalized differently.
