BY PLANE
The Amerigo Vespucci International Airport (FLR) is only 4 km away from the Florence city centre, and Line T2 of the tramway connects it to the main Santa Maria Novella railway station in 20 minutes. The Galileo Galilei International Airport in Pisa (PSA) is only one hour away from the Florence city centre and is connected to the Tuscan capital with trains departing every hour and by bus. The Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna (BLQ) also allows you to easily reach Florence, thanks to high-speed trains connecting Bologna city centre to Florence in half an hour.
BY TRAIN
High speed trains connect Florence to Milan (1 hour and 45 minutes approximately), Rome (1hour and 35 minutes approximately) and other major cities of Italy and Europe. The main railway station in Florence is Santa Maria Novella (S.M.N.) located at 10-minute walking distance from the venue (Auditorium di Sant’Apollonia) and most city centre hotels. BY CAR
Florence is centrally located along the major north-south motorways. With the A1 highway, it takes 20 minutes from the exits of Firenze Nord and Firenze Sud to reach the centre and its parking lots. You can also decide to leave the car at Villa Costanza, the first Drive & Tramway system in Italy – without exiting from the motorway. The Auditorium of Sant’Apollonia
The Conference will take place in the Auditorium di Sant’Apollonia, a former Benedictine convent, founded in 1339, located about a block west of Piazza San Marco, just north of the city center of Florence. The best known component is the former refectory of the convent, the Cenacolo of Sant’Apollonia, the first Renaissance refectory in Florence. The suppression of the convent in 1860 revealed the existence of a fresco, the a Last Supper, a major work by Andrea del Castagno and his studio.
The Auditorium has a capacity of 200 and 40 seats respectively.
